a lot of us recommend Offspring and one of our all time favorite series. I got the rec from here early in covid days. I haven't seen it on my streaming services recently but I'll rewatch when it pops up again. BTW, season one was my least favorite.

Friday Night Lights

Fisk - easy, lightly funny Australian show about a rumpled trust and estates lawyer. The Aussie comedian who plays her is so deadpan great.

Ghosts is really well done and makes us laugh every time. I think the American version is easier to get into than the British version, but both are well done.

I am the OP and watched the pilot last night. For me, it hit! I need to find subtitles b/c missed some quips but appreciate the rec!

I have been binging Nashville. I love Connie Britton. It's very easy and soapy. Lots of seasons.

I feel like I recommend these a fair amount but they seem to be sleepers:

After spending nearly three decades in prison, Jack is released and has to figure out where he will now live. His determination not to reenter a life of crime is challenged when his former cellmate Rooster offers a room at his mother Barb's house, with the stipulation that Jack join their criminal enterprise.

Really funny, and Barb is played divinely by Martha Plimpton of Goonies fame!

The Outlaws
The story follows seven strangers from different walks of life who are forced together to complete a Community Payback sentence, set in Bristol.[1] However, their luck changes – not necessarily for the better – when they discover a bag full of money, unaware that its true owners are dangerous drug dealers and criminals.

Also funny and Christopher Walken divinely plays one of the criminals.

Hm. I guess I like funny crime shows.

Pluribus has a fascinating premise but is generally light and entertaining. Silo is really interesting and has a great cast, but a little darker. I'm not at all into sci-fi normally but loved both recently.

I never hear anyone talk about Loot with Maya Rudolph—I love it. Sweet show, funny and easy to watch.

We seem to have all the channels and I can't find anything to watch on TV.

Not loving Shrinking season 3 (characters have become caricatures or something.)

Loved Heated Rivalry, Normal People, One Day (watching all of these without husband). Not surprisingly loved Fleabag and Schitt's Creek further back too. Love anything with Sharon Horgan. Struggle with anything including murder mysteries of detectives (end up distracted and missing key plot points).

Good with funny or serious. Not a fan of violence or gore. Sci fi okay if in service of a really good plot.
