Not exactly the same because we didn't do any mediation.

mutual consent divorce, no division of any assets, just one property transfer, primary physical custody to me (mom), child support (him)

I did all of the paperwork. No lawyers. Filed in October 25' and decree issued February 26'

This is the question I am asking. How long was that "bit later"?

I am the PP Virginia, 2 kids. At each mediation we left with a signed agreement, the judge stayed as long we we needed so those two dates were both the mediation and the agreement. The actual divorce was a bit later since it had to go through the court.

Agree with PP that biggest delays was scheduling everyone to attend the meditations.

OP here,

Thank you!

I'm asking about the time between the end of mediation, when there's an agreement, and the date when it's finalized. We did the mediation, it was hard to schedule, to put it mildly, and hard to get an agreement, but we have that now. I'm just wondering what people's experiences are from this point.

Who needed to be there?

NY, about 6 months. Could have been even faster, but couldn’t find the time to get all the people that needed to be there together in August, so had to wait until September when everyone was back.

3 years from the point you finished mediating or 3 years from start to finish.

We have been separated for 4.5 years and have finally worked something out.
