I don't think this has anything to do with it. In fact I think Arlington benefits at the HS ages because kids want to play HS soccer and realize if they havent been picked up by the MLS Academy Teams by HS its unlikely they will be pros. I think overall the ECNL coaches are very good but they aren't immune to the politics that every other club has.

Where is the talent in top 1/3 talent in Arlington/DC going? MLS Next does not carry that much weight.
