We never did social media (other than DCUM). We never had cable/streaming. We used to watch some PBS, but that eventually had too much political content for our taste, so we have even dropped that. Otherwise similar to the above.

I watch 30 minutes of news and then put on music for the rest of the night. Cooking dinner, reading, etc. is so nice.
The one exception: basketball. We love men's and women's college basketball, so we are watching tournaments right now and will definitely watch the NCAA tournaments.

I got rid of social media (except DCUM) in November. Best thing I've ever done! I do still watch TV but I'm on track to read 100 books this year, too, so it feels like a good balance.

I don't do no screen time but I'm greatly reducing it, but this is more about wasting time online/doomscrolling rather than TV. I've replaced the nightly before bed scroll with reading.

Subject: No screens during the week
Does anyone else do no TV or social media during the week? I have a very demanding job and use them to relax but wondering if it’s making me more overstimulated
