I didn't even ask mine if he was cheating. I presented it as a fact. He denied. I rolled my eyes. He tried to double down but when I named the person I knew he was banging, and honestly it was all just a hunch, he shifted gears and immediately said he wanted a divorce. I wish her the best! He's her problem now.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:"You invaded my privacy by looking on my phone and inserted yourself in conversations you were not meant to be a part of!"
Well, you did.
I mean, the options are pretty limited, yea? I asked him if he was cheating and he said no.
If I had divorced him without solid proof, I would have been criticized for putting my kids thru a divorce "for no reason".

An honest explanation would be more interesting to me, so that I can examine where everybody went wrong, and how it all happened (and I do include the non-cheating spouse in the everybody).

Really? Given that most cheaters deny, it's better to just gather the evidence that you need to leave, go see a lawyer, and confront them only after your case is rock solid and you have emotionally detached from the marriage and are done. Then their absurd reactions are just something you can laugh about with your friends over a glass of wine when they finally watch the kids because they insist on parenting time, even though they never wanted any when you were married.
