Nordstrom for a fitting for Natori or Chantelle or Wacoal

I don’t know DC boutiques stock but I fell in love with Marie Jo bras at a little place in Portland ME

I just go to a big department store like Macys and try on like 50 bras.

The women in the lingerie section at Bloomingdales in Chevy Chase are wonderful. They will measure you and bring in as many bras to try on as you need.

Yup, this is exactly what happened to me the one and only time I went to a bra fitting place. I had to argue with the lady. I’m an A/b and she wanted me to buy a DD and not only was it big, it added about 10 lbs to the way I look.

Anecdotally I had a terrible experience here. I had an appointment and they were so rude.

I started wearing Neiwai and haven't looked back. I hate that I wore underwire for so long.

Seriously? It’s hard to find a bra in a store if you’re A-C?

I haven’t shopped for bras in a long time, so I guess I’m just behind the times.

I’m a 34B, so I guess I’m SOL.

It's more that at 34B you don't actually need an expensive bra to provide support and look good under clothes. You could probably go to Target or Macy's and try on 5 different brands and come out with one that works well. The expensive specialty shops get more business from the hard to fit sizes that need a lot of support.

What size are you? Different places are better for different sizes. And what type are you look for, daily drivers, feminine, sexy? Budget?

My favorite is le Bustierre. I go to the one in Adams Morgan, but they also have a storefront in Bethesda.

Where is the best place in the area to try on bras? Best selection and/or best staff. I prefer Wacoal but would consider other good quality brands.
