Are the decisions only for full time AAP? Is it possible we get granted part time in this cycle too (if we requested full)?

I'm fairly certain the committee folks were to finish reviewing by the end of last week, based on what our AART said when I requested the packet. So that means theyd have this week to get everything ready to send by Friday, maybe.

I think during spring break. I know packets to them were delayed due to snow days.

In the info session I attended in the fall, the AAP staff person said before spring break.

When my 5th grader was in 2nd grade, the email came out on Friday March 31. The day before Spring Break started. I don’t recall what timeline FCPS quoted that year.

My guess is as it always is… Early April. I hope by April 3 in spring break but since a holiday maybe week later.

Pushing this up, anyone know if it’s before spring break or after?

Last year's timeline (2025). It won't be exactly the same but just for a guideline if you are anxious and reading everything about AAP in this forum. Note that due to spring break moving around the calendar - I agree that you should not pin the date as necessarily correlated to that.

Decision email received Friday April 4 just after 5:00pm. It said if you wish to appeal to postmark by May 1.

There was a full week of school before spring break started Mon April 14 that year.

I did appeal and got an email that confirmed receipt of the appeal paperwork on May 8. It says that you will receive a new decision via email by June 5.

I got the new decision (a yes, whew) on May 30. This was an email, on a Friday also at 5:00pm. This decision said you must decide on local or center school by June 13 which was 2 days after the last day of school. Be prepared to make that decision in that 2 week timeframe if this is your scenario.

Not a concrete date per my message at 11:15. But I'd not expect it before Spring Break starts in end of March.

Presumably you are referring to the Spring cycle. It states:
Early April 2026 - Eligibility decisions sent
April 13-May 1, 2026 - AAP orientations are held at Full-Time AAP sites (elementary school only).
May 1, 2026 - Appeals due to the AAP office.

I don’t have any real source, but I would expect it to be right before spring break. Give parents some time to digest the rejections before the school gets bombarded.

I can’t find the timeline for eligibility decisions. Is it still likely that emails will be sent the day before spring break like in previous years?
