Anonymous wrote:DC attracts the kid who was smart enough for great university but not smart enough for a top IVY. Meaning they over inflate how important they themselves or their work is. No one outside of the beltway gives a rat's behind that you're a staffer on the hill, lawyer at generic law firm, or middle-management at a comms/lobbying or trade-association. Majority of the top of the top are in other cities and the middle and lower classes in other cities don't place as high of an emphasis on their own career.
