Another capital educators fan. DS did in person in Baltimore during summer. We chose it bc it required so little outside prep; DS did none. Did most of the additional Thursday classes though. We were impressed at how well they paid attention to his progress - after 2 math classes in the middle tier, where it was clear he knew all of the concepts, he was moved to highest tier. Great teachers.

She did the extra help Thursdays. She was personally very focused in the course and probably did more practice on her own. She stayed after to talk if she did not understand something.

She went from 1440 (self prepped with Khan), then course, we signed up for two back to back tests because I have noticed improvements among multiple people I know whose kids just did better the second time, she got a 1490 then 1530. She did the trial ACT with them and then got a book and did a test right after her second SAT. One and done on that one but I think the SAT prep helped.

DD thinks that she will do better in an in-person SAT prep class. Studying on her own is not her strength. I would love any recommendations anyone has for these - especially in NoVA (Alexandria), but open to DC, MD. TIA.
