Really? That's a really high TO number.

Just 44% submitting is high? Compared to what schools? Per 24-25 CDS (apologies in advance for any typos):
UVA 46% SAT, 14% ACT (sum 50)
U Wisconsin 14% SAT, 35% ACT (sum 49)
W&M 43% SAT, 16% ACT (sum 49)
VT 41% SAT, 9% ACT (sum 50)
NC State 18% SAT, 29% ACT (sum 47)
Rutgers 50% SAT, 5% ACT (sum 55)

Sorry, UMD's data is from 25-26 CDS

UMD has only 37% submitting SAT and 7% submitting ACT. That's quite low. I would take those score ranges with a grain of salt.

Good to know, thx! That’s interesting wording, wish they said “submit if 32” as that implies likely vs unlikely if lower than 32 but doesn’t really speak to a 32 as likely.

On a tour they said don't submit if it's bellow a 32.

It sounds like your DC still has time -- if so, I would try to retake the test to score better, but wouldn't lose hair over anything above 25th percentile.

Anything above 25th is fine. My DC submitted the 25th percentile score to a T10 and got in.

What score would you submit as in state student in IB school, within UMD’s 25-75% range or only above their 50% score?
