Yes. Just to clarify -- this person meant that WJ will have all 7 periods crammed into the time period after lunch. (Not that the periods after lunch will be having normal classes).
I do wish they would just do half the classes with these half days. My public HS had one half day per month for the teachers to do grading/planning and they alternated which of the class periods would take place during that day. It worked really well. The local theater used to do a special day for HS students -- like a dress rehearsal -- and you could attend for like $3 or something nominal, so I used to do that 2-3 times a year.
