I have the clear Cosori one posted here - purchased on a rec from here I'm fairly sure! The first one lasted until right right around the end of warranty date, and they replaced it. The replacement lasted a few weeks - I think the issue is the connection of the heating element. But I like it when it's working. I would get the extra warranty maybe.
A friend gave us a gooseneck one, probably a copy of the Stagg one, and it has been great! It's like a random xyz name from amazon. All metal and has specific temp heating selection.

Can you just remove the filter? I have a stainless kitchenaid one that's removable.

why not use a stove top tea kettle?

We have the Saki Luna and I love it more than I’ve ever loved a kettle. No plastic touching the water.

I just replaced my Bodum plastic electric kettle for a non-plastic Haden one. BUT, it seems to have a plastic filter in the spout that cannot be removed. Assume I should return if I am looking for an non plastic one (since heating plastic seems to be the real culprit.) Any recs on fully non plastic ones?
