One more thing: if the weather is warm-ish, take the local bus/streetcar and heat to The Beaches. Pretty good beach - again, be like a local Torontonian!

Agree w/ Queen St West. Eat at Persian restaurants. Bloor & Younge shopping mall. Check out University of Toronto. I liked the horse racetrack - the people were dressed up - ladies in wide-brimmed hats and everything! Rent bikes and ride along the lake path - unforgettable. Basically, go where the locals go.
Skip the CN Tower and the museums - every major city has musems.
If you can change plans - Montreal is much more quirky and interesting. Ottawa's architecture is also very unique.

CN Tower is really expensive for what it is.

Go to Casa Loma! We took a cruise of the islands and it was nice. Take an excursion to Niagara-on-the-Lake and so the wine tour and have ice cream in the town. Get some chocolate too. We loved this place! The head to Canada’s Wonderland for the biggest theme park with good food and as clean as a whistle.

We enjoyed the Royal Ontario Museum, the St Lawrence Market, and the Toronto islands ferry.

We enjoyed the Bata Shoe Museum, Center Island, walking along the waterfront trail, and Little Canada was way more interesting than we expected.

The ferry to Center Island is very nice. It's a very pleasant island in the summer.

This sounds really peaceful

We just took a weekend trip to Toronto in January- we obviously weren't able to do any warm weather activities. We're big hockey fans, so went to a Leafs game and the Hockey Hall of Fame, as well as the CN Tower, Scarborough Bluffs, and St. Lawrence Market (for the requisite pea meal bacon sandwich). Also went to Curiosa, a really quirky and interesting store with Harry Potter decor and merchandise.

I enjoyed taking the ferry to the Toronto Islands. You can stroll, bike, swim, etc. No cars are allowed on the islands. It’s nice to look back at skyline as you’re enjoying a bit of nature.

The main art and natural history museums are all pretty good and also the Bata Shoe Museum.

If there are Broadway type shows there that you are interested in, that might be fun.

I did not care for my trip up the CN Tower. I have now been to many tall buildings with views and the only one I recommend is the Empire State Building at dusk on a nice night.

I do not recommend the local "peameal bacon sandwich". It's like a panko-breaded piece of ham.
