Plenty of work out there. My 19-year old is at work yet again according to 360. They are going to kill my baby.

There is going to be a surplus of lawyers in 5 years?

Because of AI.

There’s always law enforcement.

It's really tough. My DS was a 25 grad and was lucky to have a FT offer from his internship. He said the only friends with jobs at graduation had them from internships. Most of his friends still don't have professional jobs yet.

White collar entry level jobs have been cut 10% since 2022 due to "AI"

DD postponed job market and applied to grad schools. Got into several programs. Hopefully will come out with better skill set.

I’m sorry, OP. It’s rough out there for sure. Have her hustle because it’s still hiring season, and she can edge out the ‘24 and ‘25 grads who don’t have jobs or are underemployed. DC sent out 250+ applications last year and got one offer (after stellar internships and T20 school).

I'm sorry. Job market for new grads and 40+ the worst.

My 2024 grad had her offer rescinded but the company eventually agreed to take her on as a temp employee instead. Eventually it did lead to a permanent position in late 2024 but then she was laid off a year later in late 2025. She’s been looking since with no solid leads. It’s been demoralizing. My 2026 grad has a post-graduation internship that he hopes will lead to a return offer but with this economy there’s just no guarantee even with his super strong resume. These are tough times.

My kids graduated in 2025. Their friend who was the first of them to have an offer (return) JUST started his job this week. That’s a full 9 months after it was supposed to starts. They started pushing back his start date a year ago. It’s not good out there.

So dd’s job offer was just retracted due to hiring freeze. She is beyond upset. My goodness, can’t these kids just get a break
