I like the mayorga Cuban roast which I get at Costco. They have one called Muy Macho which might be the slap in the face you want.

We had a couple we really liked at Trader Joe but they’ve recently gone AWOL due to tariffs I guess. We’ve switched to Chesapeake Coffee River’s Edge and Counter Culture dark roast. I used to buy Peet’s Major Dickason at Costco until the taste changed for the worse.

Try brewing Wegmans brand Espresso roast. It is deep and rich and much cheaper than many of the high end brands. There’s no bitterness.

I’m sick of my current coffee and would love some recommendations.
I enjoy a bold, dark roast. “Robust”. I don’t know how else to describe it. I want to know I’m drinking coffee. I want it to slap me in the face, but also be flavorful.
