If you think your kids might try for CES, closer along that bus route to CCES might be something to think about.

22-24 per class. I would say around 80% attend, with the other 20% going private. It’s not uncommon for parents to have one kid in private (based on what the child needs to thrive) and others at Wood Acres.

Honestly if it were me, I'd buy in a less expensive area and send my kid to private. MCPS has been such a disappointment.

Wood Acres has been great. Though large, it has a very involved parent community and feels close to everything.

The current schedule has Burning Tree relocated to a holding school from 2029-2031.

WoodAcres has a great commute into the city and a nice parks and river access. Its big but well resourced to accommodate everyone, Planetarium, separate auditorium & lunch area, huge library and a nice carve out area for kindergarteners. Most people love it, when we went though the school play was run out of glen Echo theater which added some nice pomp for the kids but I don't know if they still do that.

Bannockburn has a lovely, close-knit community walkable to the towpath/Potomac.

I might avoid Burning Tree, as the building is very old and may be rebuilt over the next several years, funding permitting.

We would like to move to Bethesda this summer and are open to all of the ES options, as they all seem to be good or at least good enough!
