My DD had one in 10th grade and the college she chose did not need a new one. We had a tentative plan to redo it once she chose her school, but it wasn’t necessary. They won’t tell you any specifics until your DC is enrolled, but you could ask what their policy is at Disability Services in your college visits.

College is not mentioned in current NP. Accommodations are.

I am wondering if I have to have a full NP done at $5,000 post age-16. Or can it be a truncated version.

DC has ADHD and anxiety and exec functioning issues. And language based LDs (dyslexia, dysgraphia, discalculia).

He needs assistive tech for the dysgraphia and additional testing time for everything else.

It depends on the school. Some will want within the last 3 years. Others within 5 years. Still others after age 16 (when the adult versions of tests can be used).

Does your last report have recommendations for college appropriate accommodations?

It depends on the diagnoses and the college. Some colleges want certain tests done as an adult- which is after they turn 16.

I have a 10th grader whose last NP report was dated 1 January 2024. College admissions year is 2028. Do we need to get an updated full NP report prior to college? If so, can someone tell me about the timing?
