Paperwhite all the way. Doesn't give you the eye fatigue of a traditional tablet (if you've noticed that as an issue).

They're built to last, too.

I like the Kindle Fire tablet. You can download books, magazines, or movies/tv shows. With a traditional Kindle or Paperwhite, you’re basically limited to books.

I have an Oasis, which they no longer make in the US. I love it and will be sad when it dies. I've had it since 2017 and it switched me from a physical copies only to preferring an ereader. I had tried reading on my ipad and hated it.

If I had to pick a new one, I'd go with Paperwhite.

The main trick to keeping your battery life high is to leave it in airplane mode when you are not actively downloading.

I like the paperwhite. It's durable, has a long battery, and the backlighting feature is subtle enough to not bother anyone near you while on an airplane.

NVM. Looks like Paperwhite best option for my needs. Scribe looks great, but I don't need the extra real estate.
