One year behind isn’t much for that age. You said no behavior problems so McLean should work. Plus they are larger and have a wider range of extra curricular activities which is great for socialization. Lab or Siena should be good too but dont have first hand knowledge about them.

Siena is solid for elementary. IMO that's the sweet spot of their program. I would reassess after 5th grade bc middle and high school are challenging there for many of the reasons shared on this board.

My Child is at McLean and thriving. It’s not SN light, but it is full of highly creative neurodivergent kids and the support is built into the classroom. So what my kid used to get for support one hour a day at a different private is all day at McLean. It’s been a huge confidence boost for her.

OP here - we have spent money on tutoring. It isn't helping enough. The gap is slowing getting bigger and I worry about later elem school when school really picks up. Plus tutoring after school is really fatiguing kid. Would love more support in school and less need for tutoring out of school.
