OMG, we're right there with you, although almost everything we have is cancellable before March 20. Came here wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and/of if y'all State Dept types have a view ... I think we'll give it a minute before we pull the trigger but we really would love to do this trip.

I can't imagine planning this trip without insurance.

There is still a 3 weeks ahead. Hopefully things calm down. In any case, if things continue like this and flights are actually cancelled, you’ll probably get a refund.

Come for the dumpy 7-star hotel and fake islands, stay for the exploitative kafala system.

If kids are teenager, their idea of fun includes food and spas, and you've got the money to stay there, Dubai is a great choice. But travel insurance for any international travel is a must.

It's fine. Dubai is super safe. We lived there during Arab Spring and everything was fine. Dubai will protect tourists 100%

Was booked to go end of March with family of five. No travel insurance; booked everything noncancellable. Damn.
