If you were in a car crash and were laid up in the hospital, your job and family would have to accept that. Mental health is as important as physical help. Please take care of yourself.
+1 OP, I’ve been there in feeling that I couldn’t slow down despite deteriorating mental health because of people relying on me. I’m still not great at it! However, if you don’t prioritize your mental and physical health, your body will make you pay later.
Call your primary care doctor and see if you can get on a low dose antidepressant or anti anxiety med to get you over the hump. Then lifestyle changes - non-negotiable alone time by relying on spouse/any local family members or friends for help with kids, mental health days off work, getting outdoors as much as possible, catching up with friends, etc etc. it has to be very intentional. Please take care of yourself, there’s only one you. Hugs.
