My child was wait pooled and got in already for this year. So yes there is a wait pool and yes it moves.

Yes, they wait list. Our kid was waitlisted not too many cycles ago, and they eventually called us and said the kid was in if we'd forgo financial aid.

"We are unable to offer a place" was our WIS response 2 years ago. I understood it to be a rejection, nicely worded.

They all waitlist at least a little. Some waitlist nearly all rejections, some don't. It sounds like WIS falls into the latter.

We got into two schools, waitlisted at one and told "we are unable to offer a place" at WIS - wondering if that's the norm or if they waitlist?
