I feel the same. I paid $30k for my MAT (dumb, I know) back in 2006. Accumulated $16k in interest (loans were deferred for a long time). Paid on it for a long time and just recently got it forgiven. I’m now in the MA +60 lane which gets me a few extra k per year, but nothing like I could earn with NBCT.
I’ve decided I’ve done enough and I refuse to jump through more hoops even if it would get me an extra 10k a year.
Who is the company/organization making money from NBCT? Maybe they lobbied towards politicians to incentivize NBCT more so that they could make more money?
