At most they had 22, including some that were futures so played for both the HG and AD team.

Since they only have AD, what can be gained from staying AD forever? Most people try to get on an AD team with a goal to hopefully make their clubs HD team one day. Not seeing the point long term. Happy to learn.
So guess you are aware of the MLS Next players get at least 1/3 game time then?
