Why so we have a random Wednesday off? Is it so MCPS staff can file their taxes?
For the folks asking about April 15, it's right on the MCPS calendar that this is a non-instructional day due to grading for the 3rd quarter. And the grading and planning days have always been non-instructional days from what I recall. I'm not sure why this was designated as a possible make-up day though, because I assume (but am not certain) that the grading days off are contractual.
Yeah, these planning days were a hill the union died on. There's no way they're giving those back for a snow day because it will demonstrate the planning days aren't actually needed. So, that's a non-starter.

It’s almost like you are looking at it for the first time because you are Big Mad about the snow days and think you can magically find substitute dates or something. But I know you.m wouldn’t do such an arrogant and clueless thing, right?
Tell that to the people who demanded March 20th revert back to a non-instructional day.
