+1. Are they high suicide rates in comparison to other dentists, to other professions. People quote this, and I just don't get it. Maybe dentistry attracts people who have a higher likelihood of mental health challenges? Rather than the profession itself causing suicide.

Seems like a lot of dental practices are being bought up by private equity. And they’re constantly pitching stuff like used car salespeople. The days of the trustworthy neighborhood dentist seem to be over.

Is it possible to make $1M a year being a dentist? If you start a dental practice chain and get a venture capital investment can you bring in $1M or more a year?

I see dentist on social media that seem to be insanely wealthy.

Does anyone have an estimate of dentists income generally in this area after 10 years of practice? How does that compare to the income of a primary care physician? Thanks.

Dentists would tell you no that the job has gotten worse. But to be fair, every single industry is like that. None are as good as they were 20 years ago. Dentists at least have job security and are in high need. Hopefully insurance gets better.

Great work/life balance if they work for themselves - most work four days a week.
