What do you mean ID to get invited to tryouts? Isn’t the ID sessions the same as tryouts?

My 2012 kid tried out last spring and made a team. She joined them when she could for practices and games and then fully joined for the fall season.
I’m not understanding the issue. I’m glad she got to know some of the girls and I met the parents before the full year commitment.

That darn Loudoun, good thing no other clubs are doing the same thing

There is a difference between trying out for first teams NVA/VDA and trying out for second and third teams playing in GA in Feb. VSA isn't trying to fill their RL teams right now for a reason.

Agreed but that was actually LATE compared to some of their peers. The whole thing is a joke and reflective of an out of control money driven business.

Agreed. It should be after the spring season. It can be awkward playing with your team in the spring with your club/coach knowing you won't return based on the fact you have not accepted your current teams offer.

It’s only awkward if the team makes it that way which is probably why someone would be leaving in the first place.

With the age change there’s going to be lots of movement. A smart family is doing their research now and actually making informed decisions, not pressure based ones in May with no real information except an hour watching a scrimmage.

Loudoun making kids ID over and over to get invited to Feb tryouts is the most obnoxious one around. Nothing like locking players in for next year before pre-season tournaments even start.

You are correct, OP.

Every year I am reminded how much I hate spring season. It really stinks for the kids.
