You could ask the school? There is an event for students accepted to the program next Saturday if that applies to you.

My understanding is that the SJC Scholars program is the honors track where as the Nusca Scholars program at DeMatha is a much smaller cohort focused on individualized mentorship throughout the four years of school, and not a separate honors track in and of itself (as far as I can tell).

Those accepted to Nusca typically get early access to advanced courses as Freshmen that are normally reserved for Sophomores or above, but otherwise I believe they're taking Honors and AP courses alongside non-Nusca Scholars in their grade. The Big difference here is the individualized mentorship.

I don’t have specific details (sorry!) but DS’s former classmate is a Nusca Scholar and really enjoys it. He chose DeMatha over other schools because of the deep sense of brotherhood and down to earth atmosphere. It sounds like the classes are challenging and he loves his teachers. Definitely worth considering.
