Just curious why Navy Yard vs say Union Market area which seems much closer and easier to get to (straight off red line).


DS definitely went to Union Market for the food. But when he and his friends would go out to bars - his friend group preferred Navy Yard. Bullpen, when it's open, is one of their favorite spots. They also would go to Mission. I never heard DS talk about any bars at Union Market.

Lacrosse houses are hopping’. I have a rental on my street that has had as tenants CUA students since I’ve lived here; parties there are subdued but consistent (more akin to gatherings). Our CUA babysitters all seem to have active social lives.

Overall, quieter/tamer than my undergrad.

Football tailgates and LAX games are well attended. I am friends with former CUA football players and they report tailgating was bigger in their day, but that may be nostalgia talking.

Back in my day it was house parties and bar hopping in DC. Imagine it is still much the same in that regard. Good times! Curious myself about current vibe. Touring soon with my DC.
