They signed the contract in 2005 I’m sure on a custom build dream house. Peak pricing.

It’s so rare. You can tell old people lived there. That cream trim will cost $20k to repaint right off the bat.

I 100% believe this if it was new construction I’m 2020. Very possible. The mid range MR, classic cottages builders are $2.8-$3.5 now.

Its driveway is essentially Gw parkway.

You take out a fixed rate mortgage for a house; you can’t just take that money and put it in stock.

That and it was probably custom built. So there's some weirdness turning off many buyers.

Now pick a home in a desirable location.

Location, location, location.

Base 2007 Suburban, $37,000
Base 2025 Suburban, $64,000

Crazy that this house was priced flat.

I guess SFHs are not always such a great investment. Here's one in North Arlington as an example:

https://www.redfin.com/VA/Arlington/4109-N-Randolph-Ct-22207/home/22018528

Sales history is as follows:

2007: $2,474,292
2013: $2,523,750
2025: $2,495,000

Pretty awful.
