+ 1 to this, especially if you do the VIP Universal tour where you get priority access to all of the rides and a behind-the-scenes look at the sets/prop room. DDs also liked Santa Monica pier and renting bikes there, as well as shopping in Abbott Kinney. We tried to get tickets to attend a live show but couldn't find anything we liked, but I think that would have been fun.

The Annenberg Beach House and pool is an awesome place, we went there years ago with our kids, it's an historic pool and very reasonable, around $10/person (or was maybe 2019 or so). But the main attraction is the pool and pool deck/chairs, and that part is only open from Memorial Day through end of September, so wouldn't work for a spring break trip.

Broad museum is cool for modern and contemporary art.

I lived there for a couple of years a have been back recently -- and have teen girls. They loved the Grammy Museum and the Grove (shopping area in West Hollywood). If they are interested in the beach, make a reservation at the Annenberg Beach Club in Santa Monica. The reservation is basically for the parking space. My teens liked The Getty Museum but allow a few hours. We were cramming it in and didn't have nearly enough time. They also loved the Hollywood/Stars Homes tour. Cheesy but it is fun and interesting. Hike to the Hollywood sign--the views are worth it.

We also really liked the Warner Brothers Studio Tour. And there is always Disneyland and Universal. LA has a CityPASS that is worth buying if you want to hit the touristy highlights.

Noooo! the traffic! I'm from there and won't go back because of it. Allow extra time to get anywhere.
