I looked into hiring one when I was pregnant with my second child a couple years ago, but I think many would only provide 24 hours of coverage and I wanted my husband in the hospital with me for the entire 3 day C-section stay. We ended up paying our nanny some serious overtime to stay with our 2 year old. You might want to work through an agency so there’s a back up if you have an emergency yourself.
