Was the plan to bring tech companies along that portion of 200?

It was named that way because it connected existing tech companies in MoCo and Nova

I think it’s great. Just depends on your commute.

Not the whole length so it makes it useless. How simple would it have been to just pace a bike path down the whole length from 270 to Beltsville? That would have allowed long distance bike commutes and would have been awesome!

Those of us who use it love it. A single trip might not be worth it. But, when you talk about the commute time savings and the amount of time saved when you do frequent trips, it adds up. It also cuts down on congestion on other roads, which makes trips easier all around.

I never use it because it's a toll road. Usually GPS says it would save me about 7-8 minutes, so I just don't take it.

I would use it if it was free though!

I live in Rockville. I don't use use it regularly but looks well used when I do. We appreciate the option when heading North or to BWI during busy times. We can skip the beltway. Some friends use it very regularly because they hate the beltway so much

Yes it runs along side but not very visible from the road.

And the PL Purple Line will connect Bethesda in Montgomery County to New Carrelton. The PL is south of I-495 and will not cross the ICC Route 200 in MD

Which won’t be happening because we will NEVER allow another bridge. That would literally cause a civil war in Montgomery county.

It has no bike lanes or sidewalks, and caters exclusively to vehicle users.

In what possible metric is this considered a “successful” road?

Has the Intercounty connector (ICC) been successful in MD?

MD Route 200 is a 19 mile access toll road. It connects Gaithersburg in Montgomery County and Laurel in Prince George's County.
