I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the good prices at Wegmans for some items I buy regularly, like the frozen pizzas my teen son wants. About $1.50 cheaper per item than at Giant. It’s a bit of a drive to get there for us, but worth going a couple of times a month.

It’s probably a promotion, a loss leader to get people in and while they’re there they buy higher margin stuff too, like prepared food.

I don’t trust the prices on the shelf anymore until I see my receipt after paying at the register.


Target is pretty bad with this. I complained to customer service who said to take picture of the items while shopping. I don’t have time for that.

Just look at the milk prices at Giant and compare it to Wegmans.

I shop at Giant every other day and have never had an issue with the price at checkout ringing up differently than the advertised price. Occasionally I’ll see an item priced higher in Giant vs elsewhere but that isn’t a regular occurrence- Giant certainly isn’t overpriced like a convenience store/bodega.

Yep their prices are so high
Its like shopping at 7-11, their sales often mysteriouslt ring up full
Price.

And their produce is crap, i don't know how they stay in business.
