What even is your question? Do you want to repost with an actual question in your title so we can understand you and answer?

I think some people have their heads so deep in the sand that they don't understand it needs to happen. But I agree most people recognize the basic reasons why this is being done.

It’s really disrupting the whole county simultaneously and will involve so much bussing with the proposed regional programming.

Two high schools - Woodward and Crown are slated to open, requiring new boundaries. The new Northwood is expanding, so that requires boundary adjustment.

We’re within (close) walking distance to Northwood and the boundary changes will send us to Kennedy. Ugh, there are so many issues with mcps! This feels like shaking a soda…

Many minority majority communities are excited despite the “nice white parents” attempting to save them against their will under the guise of balancing building utilization and FARMS.

Taylor is committing unforced errors throughout this whole process. He is tone deaf to community concerns.

We'll see how this ALL works out.

Crown never should have been built.

The pros are that:
- two brand new high schools that cost hundreds of millions of dollars to build won't sit empty
- multiple existing high schools will no longer be horrifically overcrowded

Decades of deferred maintenance among other issues.

“ Enrollment Shifts: Unofficial enrollment (as of Sept. 25, 2025), now 156,705 students, remains 10,000 below its 2019 peak. Projections show further declines to around 149,920 by 2032, shifting the focus from expansion to modernization and right-sizing.”

It's not about making people happy. They need to utilize the high schools better. Some have way too many people, others don't have enough. Some have crazy boundaries. There has been a lot of construction and immigration since the last countywide boundary changes.

I’m genuinely curious. Who is excited about the boundary changes? Which areas or clusters? Which groups? Why?

I don’t want to debate the merits of the changes. I want to really understand the pros.
