And how do you feel now? Feeling better?
They don’t feel better now, but misery loves company.

Take care of yourself and stop watching/reading the news so often.

No, I’m excited about AI. I don’t want to work, and the idea of AI doing everything for humans sounds excellent to me. I’d rather be painting, traveling, etc.

Have experienced existential dread multiple times and for me it is part of generalized anxiety. Different things cause it to flare and I have had to learn self management techniques.
I’m sorry you are going through this and perhaps a counselor can help with coping strategies.
Being able to take concrete steps always helps as you can regain a sense of control

It'll all work out just fine.
It'll all work out
It'll all work
It'll all

Fat dumb and happy is the way to go, unfortunately. Mo brain cells mo worries

Yes anyone with any intelligence gets existential dread. It’s a sign that what you’re doing is at odds with your moral compass or your values or your heart (which luckily for us is most work)

I feel like rich people in power are really pushing AI, but I don't get the end game. So that nobody is employed except for labor jobs? Also do not see AI as advancing as fast as they think it will and our electrical and water infrastructure cannot keep up.
Just feel like it is rich people who do not give a hoot about the average joe, pushing this to benefit themselves while the rest of us suffer

It's normal for me, and always has been.

I get panic attacks and a sense of doom preceding them, but existential dread? No. Too busy worrying about my panic, ha.

I've felt this way since I was 12 years old.

Between the state of the world and all the things I have been reading about AI, anyone else kind of giving up?
I was at work today and everything seemed silly and meaningless, like we’re scrambling around doing something that is going to be crazy upended in a matter of months, not years.
