OP here. Turns out it is a proof of insurance coverage issue from around the time I moved states. I've had the same insurance company for 25 years and was able to get proof of coverage pretty easily.

If that doesn't solve the problem, I could pay a $140 fee and a $500 penalty, with a payment plan available.

Identity theft.

Is there any chance they mixed your name up with another driver in the system? My coworker's kid nearly got his license revoked because someone with the same name and similar birthdate in a different state got flagged in the system. They had to get some kind of letter to prove the kid was not the same person who was the problem driver.

OP, it could be you were caught in excess of 20 by a camera. It could be some unpaid tickets you don't know about. It could be unpaid toll mistakes. You are going to have to call to find out.

Camera tickets don’t accumulate points on your drivers license because the camera has no idea who’s driving the car, just the license plate of the car.

If your license expires it just shows unlicensed. Revoking a lic is totally different.

That’s not how it works. If don’t renew, you’re not reported as a problem driver.

OP, I don't have anything entered into the VA court record system, other than a parking ticket where the judge found me not guilty. Any other tickets should show up there.

Besides, I have a TS/SCI. You'd think it would pop up on their record.

Make sure your identity wasn't stolen.

Also make sure you don't have unpaid traffic tickets from anywhere. And that nobody used your car when was living with you and could intercept mail.

You need to get a fake plate.

Does anyone know what this is? I was given a number to call, which I will, but a Google search suggests that my driver's license has been suspended or revoked in Virginia. I have lived in Maryland since 2018. I am unaware of any sort of vehicle-related issues while living in Virginia from 2010-2018.
