Thanks all, we ordered the dryer and it will be delivered in a couple of days.

Yes I use it a lot. Would not consider a dryer without it.

We used the steam feature a lot with little kids. It was great for cleaning stuffed animals!

Perfect, this is exactly the info I needed.

I love the steam feature, I hate to iron, don’t own a steamer and find that the steam refresh setting works way better than a wet wash cloth. I wouldn’t ever buy a dryer without it again.

Same. I had the fancy LG and then we upgraded to speedqueens. If I leave clothes in the dryer overnight, I just fluff the next morning on a normal cycle and fold.

If I needed to specifically steam a blouse or shirt for an occasion I guess I would look up the settings, or throw in a damp washcloth as someone said upthread. Probably the latter. We tend to only wear wrinkle-free clothes I guess!

I’d never use it because the dryer is in the basement and the steamer is in my closet.

But if I had laundry on the bedroom floor, I might go for it.

We never use it. Makes it more complicated.

I am curious about this as well. I love the steam wash feature on the LG washer-amazing at getting out stains.

You can always just throw a wet washcloth in to a dryer that doesn't have that setting.

I have it and forget to use it. Yes, it's nice.

I just discovered this on my LG recently and I love it!

Dryer shopping and looking at the LG models that are top picks in Consumer Reports. How well does the steam function work if you've got a dryer with this feature?
