The hill elementary schools have gotten woke.
Ludlow hosted a drag queen brunch fundraiser.

A lot of Hill residents don’t send their kids to the local public options after elementary.

Capitol Hill Christian struck me as very conservative Christian. Not the sort of school that has a lot of appeal to the generally liberal Hill area.

Capitol Hill truly needs better middle school and a private high school. All the kids have to get bussed to NW from eastern market for their private high school. It’s really a shame nothing is walkable.

Not enough people who are wealthy enough, plus some decent public elementaries and some people who really do want language immersion.

People not religious enough to pay that much.

Cap Hill has literally every denomination there is and only a Catholic school and the low enrollment Cap Hill Classical Christian.

There aren't enough kids in any one denomination to support a school, that's why.

Some people who don't get into SPS go to St Anthony's in Brookland. It's not that far.

What I wouldn't give to have a decent K-8 Episcopal school on or near the Hill.

Waterfront Montessori has relocated to the hill and is technically Catholic! Right next to eastern market metro!

Aside from Capitol Hill Day, what is the other private on the hill?

Today is the big day for acceptance and waitlists.

Kindergarten is super competitive for the five openings.

Curious if all the Catholic PK-8 programs are this competitive or is SPS experience this due to lack of additional Catholic options on the hill? For the hill there are really only 3 private options.

Forget even trying to get in for 6-8, kids with siblings can’t even get a spot!
