Really? Both my teens/young adults loved learning how to cook! DS took a sous vide to collage and cooks for friends in his dorm. DD makes perfect French macarons and other complicated pastry cooking recipes. We’re not asian but I’d assume kids are the same.
Why would you assume all kids love to cook? Weird. I'm a woman and learned to cook when my first child was born, grudgingly. It took me some time to enjoy cooking. Now I enjoy making certain complex dishes. My kids can make simple meals, but usually do not cook for the entire family and are not interested in anything complicated, which I find entirely normal.
Everyone is different, and has different likes and dislikes. Surprised you need to be told that.
