I also had this when I was younger (in memo now) and frustrated that there isn’t better research, understanding, and treatment or prevention of this in 2026.

I agree the lack of attention paid to women’s health is horrible. Menopause is having its moment now, hopefully when our daughters are in menopause, they will have a much better roadmap. On the other hand, hormonal issues for teens and 20s is still not really on the map. Which sucks for girls that have issues.

It seems to be an awful lot of girls. I don’t know very many teen girls very well, but of the ones I know, this is an issue. And the docs go straight to antidepressants. Horrible.

Try adding sweet potatoes and roasted cauliflower and sardines to her diet. I kid you not , I have PMDD and the sweet potatoes (bio-identical to progesterone) calm, the cauliflower helps detox excess estrogen (irritability) and sardines boost feel good chemicals with the omega 3s and vit D

You sounds like a great mom wanting to help her manage this

I would start with birth control pills. Call your OBGYN and ask what they think.

Any brand recommendations?
I suspect DD15 has PMDD. Like severe depression, feeling like the whole world is against her, wants to die for a few days. Typically gets better after she gets her period. This month was so horrible. I gave her some of my Moon Juice Magnesi-om and she seemed a little better after that, but she does not like the taste.

Any recommendations for tablets or gummies?
