Only if the shoes don't match the occasion or the weather. OP, if you show up at a wedding wearing flip flops, I'd notice, not because I judge but because it looks kinda funny. Otherwise, if your shoes are appropriate for the occasion and don't have holes in them, who cares if they're last season?

Only if they’re really cute or really ugly. Otherwise, no.

I work at a lot of high end events behind the scenes. I notice people's shoes, but I only judge the women clomping around in shoes that are clearly super uncomfortable and that they can't walk in.

Wear the dress flats.

I think she deserves comfort more.

No one cares.

If they do you shouldn't

Come on. Stop stressing OP out.

From Shawshank Redemption I learned that most people do not.

I notice only if the shoes really do not fit the occasion.

If you have dress flats in relatively good condition, that's socially acceptable, OP.

I do, but to be fair, I used to work at a shoe store. Also, just because I notice doesn't mean my shoes are amazing. Also also, just because I notice doesn't mean I'm judging. Being comfortable is underrated. I can't begin to imagine how messed up Mariah Carey's feet are after all these decades of only wearing heels.

I always notice people shoes. But I don't really judge, as mine are always chosen for comfort first these days, rather than for style.

(The fact that I can no longer wear "great" shoes is the main reason why my interest in fashion has declined. Shoes make the outfit, IMO. Since I often can't "make" my outfit with the shoes anymore, the fun is kind of gone.)

Wear the old shoes, it will be fine.

Not really, no, unless the shoes are super noticeable (high, brightly colored, etc) I would wear the old shoes

Never.

I have a wedding to attend tomorrow evening. I recently lost weight and needed new dressy heels, but the ones I bought don’t fit, and I am not in the mood to shop tonight. I’m considering just wearing my old, tired dress flats. So boring. But I will be sitting the majority of the time, and you don’t see feet on the dance floor anyway, right?
