We may be the anomaly but we received FA at three schools for K and got off the waitlist at another school also for K. You never know what is going to happen so don't get discouraged before.

I think most of our schools ended up releasing information prior to 4pm. FA was included in the contracts for two of them and one sent it in a separate email.

I believe you'll have two weeks to make a decision and will have to pay a deposit to secure your spot. Our deposit is 10% of tuition. Good luck!

GDS showed up for us at 4pm last year (accepted)

GDS didn’t show decision in Ravenna for DS until middle of night Fri/early Sat last yr and it was for WL. Accepted probably heard much earlier.

Last year we got off a waitlist for Grade 10 about two weeks after decisions were released

GSD says no time has set?

What’s BS? Waitlist is essentially a “no” without the school having to say no.

This is my first admissions day as a parent. I’m looking forward to it! What fun

You should have good chances for K, but there will be a lot of people upset and heartbroken because they didn’t get the admission they want on the 27th. There will also be waitlists and wait piles. People have posted about getting of those, but I don’t know anyone who has.

Good luck!

You'll get an email that either includes the decision or prompts you to login to the admissions platform to see your decision. I believe at 4 PM.

FYI: some schools make admissions and financial aid decisions separately, meaning you may get admitted, but waitlisted for aid.

Financial aid for K is very rare. If you applied for that, don’t get your hopes up.

You’ll get an email or a call. They’ll follow up with information about how to accept the spot. You’ll have to pay a deposit to secure the spot.

We applied to some K programs in moco area and looks like the decisions are made on 2/27 for independent schools. So what happens on that day? Do we get financial information and acceptance via email? How long do we have to commit? Do we have to pay to secure the position?
