Do you have a regular stylist that you trust? If yes, you should start there. I disagree with many of the posts here. They are living in the 80s with memories of terrible middle aged hair cuts. In 2026, the long layer look is the middle age mom look. The people who try interesting haircuts are always much younger.
Worst case you can put it in fancy clips and it will grow out.
