No one will care.

Transferring mid year can be better than starting at the beginning of the year.

If you are set on having him finish out the year, I would make it legal and talk to the Principal to make it legal.

Thank you.

SACC is not operated by FCPS, they’re operated by the county, so your school would never see the application.

Correct. Thank you for your comments.

I think you are fine finishing out the year at the school he started in. I think it is fraud if you stay there next year without pupil placement. You are fine for this year.

We closed on our house in August but didn't move until November - and as soon as we closed we got on the waiting list for SACC at the new school. We used winter break to switch schools but we could have kept them in the old school until June if we'd wanted to. FCPS didn't care - it's pretty common for people to plan moves months in advance.

I feel like you are trolling for a boundary fraud thread, but why would you put him in SACC at a school he doesn’t go to?

Hello. We moved last month and are keeping our boy at his school he started in. The house we moved to is around the corner and just over the district line. We will go to that school next year, but my question is about SACC…

If I sign up now for the new school SACC as first choice, and his current school (where we are I longer districted), will that tip our hand to FCPS? We have tk list our new address in the application.

We have good childcare at a current place at least thru 26-27 school year where he will age out.

I just didn’t know if it would look weird and I don’t know if theyd make him go to a new school this late in the year.

Would appreciate thoughts.
