Also, the "concern" could be just that they can't remove it all. Statistically speaking, it's likely benign, less likely pre-cancerous and rarely cancerous. But they/we like to remove things that shouldn't be there. And we definitely want to remove things that are pre/cancerous. Good luck. Try not to stress now and just wait for the biopsy results.

Hello. A recent colonoscopy showed 2 areas of concern. One is in an area where I had a polyp before that was growing back and the second was a large polyp right next to that area. They removed the new polyp but couldn’t completely remove the regrown one — couldn’t safely free it from the muscle.

Waiting for biopsy reports and it took a few days for me to realize that being in the muscle is probably not a good sign.

I searched through google AI and it gave me this “ polyp found in the muscle layer of the colon does not automatically mean it is cancerous, though it is a finding that requires careful investigation. While a polyp that has grown deep into the muscle (muscularis propria) is more concerning, many such lesions are benign, particularly those related to chronic inflammation or Prolapsing Mucosal Polyps. ”

Anyone here had a similar situation and if so, what was the outcome?
