Yes healthcare continues to be the dominant sector and it's annoying.
It worries me because the healthcare sector in this country is also predatory. So do we need more predators ready to raid our bank accounts?

A few years ago I spent a lot of time with an elderly family member and we'd just sit and watch TV. First time I paid attention to the regular stations in years. Noticed it seemed like 90% of the ads were healthcare related and targeted to black audiences. It was intriguing.

There are lots of parts of the American economy that have never had a Super Bowl ad. Waste management. Customs duties. Wholesale trade.

While healthcare continues to be strong with plenty of jobs, the supply is incr asking as well. It seems like every other woman is going to school for healthcare. And men are slowing joining the field as well. Yes we are aging so we need healthcare workers. But a lot of the jobs we will need though will be on the low end such as physically taking care of old people. At that point we will do what we do best. Import cheap labour. Pretty much. But I am not sure if AI and data centers create a lot of jobs though. I don't know too much about AI, but I can tell you as a Math major if AI is similar to machine learning then not much AI related jobs will be created because Machine learning is quite mature as a field. I am an old guy 60 years old and I remember back in the 90s we were doing some machine learning using a very old programming language called Common Lisp. Of course in those days we didn't have big distributed systems so the program sat on someone's machine.
