Our alley was cleared last weekend. We have Monday alley pickup. 8 days after our alley was cleared (yesterday), recycling was finally picked up. Still no trash. And no compost either, even though we were told it would start again last week.

A trash truck was in our neighborhood on Saturday and only did pick up from places that had front pick up (do not have an alley)

The WASTE of $$$ of clearing out alleys with bobcats only to not have trash picked up - typical Bowser. It was a great show - but no results

Who here says thr suburbs are a hellscape? And schools were closed in many areas for over a week so it’s hard to believe the snow is fully cleared.

The snowcrete situation isn’t really different this week compared to last. Schools opening on time had more to do with realizing they couldn’t just close/delay until whenever it melts than an actual difference in clearage. That said, it’s been pretty easy to get around and our trash removal resumed last week.

Where are you located?

Our alleyway is ice - hopefully it melts this week. The refuse trucks haven't been able to get through.

Blue areas make the most trash by far. Look at all the flushing even though there's a sewage explosion by the canal. If blue areas weren't so filthy, they would use a bucket and kitty litter to stop flushing right into the river. It's like the surgically segregated neighborhoods and schools with BLM signs in the yard. Horrible people

The D.C. government is very adept at separating average people from their money and turning around and giving that money to the people who fund their reelection campaigns. But, as we see with the trash, it does not try very hard to manage all the programs it runs and making sure they actually do what they're supposed to be doing.

I feel like the city has just given up. Why are streets still completely covered in snow? Why hasn’t my trash been picked up?

I say we all go pay a visit to Colonial Village with our trash. I bet it’s been picked up there.

I’m in Columbia Heights and beyond pissed. Like you, OP, we’ve done the 311 requests.

We are overflowing our trash bins as well. DC has been absolutely abysmal in terms of responding to this storm. And yes, I know it was icy. But there are still piles of snow blocking lanes on major roads, trash overflowing, etc.

We have filled out a million 311 requests. The city marks them all as completed, even though they have done absolutely nothing. How can a government be this incompetent? It's been more than two weeks since it snowed.
