My son wears size 15 or 14, depending on the shoe. I buy them almost exclusively on Zappos or Amazon.

As for socks, he’s pretty picky on the feel and for casual he really likes these. They have held up well too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08HGSG5JM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title&th=1

I'm a 5'10" woman and I don't typically need to shop anywhere special. A lot will depend on proportions though--I have a long torso but not long legs. For pants I rarely need the longs in brands that offer them. Sometimes I wonder who they are making pants for, because they're long on me! I suppose part of this also depends on whether you are wearing heels or not (I usually don't).
My bigger complication is bathing suits. You can get long torso ones, but they're more expensive and limit you somewhat on options. Two piece/tankini style suits solve this problem (and can be found anywhere).
I sometimes have a problem with dresses because the waistline will fall at the wrong place.

He was so happy to get some shirts with sleeves that are long enough for his arms!

I haven't bought yet, but I saw that they have some items in "semi-tall". Love that idea as we have to look for particular brands that work of army 6'2" DH and son. Talls can be too long but regular too short.

My 5’11” daughter can wear American Eagle long but her legs aren’t particularly long for her height. Other pants are sometimes long enough but usually in sizes that are too big in the waist.

Anonymous wrote:I have super tall teens and tbh haven't needed to shop at special tall stores for them. I do buy extra long 36" inseam pants from the Gap (online). Some of it depends on how your kid's height is distributed (ie, if it is mostly in the legs you might need a specialty shop).

My dh is also tall (over 6'6"). Nordstrom works for him, but so does Lululemon and he can often wear jackets and coats from regular stores. Nordstrom Rack often has xlarge socks.

Shoes past a size 15 are very limited. Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, and certain running shoes. Slippers are kind of impossible.

In contrast I am 5'10" and fit perfectly in regular stuff - I don't even need tall sizes. It varies by build.

Most men that height would benefit from longer sleeves but don’t have to have them. If their arms are the lengths of an average male they’d look pretty weird!! Also longer cut t shirts are a nice to have but also not necessary.

All the very tall men in my life do a lot of pushing their sleeves up.

Hollister tall sizing (sweatpants and the like) works for our tall son. Unfortunately their jeans are only 34" inseam, that sometimes works and sometimes not -- make sure you measure inseams as I've discovered they're often shorter than listed! Nike tall pants are too short for him, but tall sleeves (hoodies) work. Adidas is good, can wear regular size hoodies, tops and jackets, they have long enough sleeves (probably too long for regular size people). Gap has 36" inseam pants and jeans!

Starting a thread to capture where to buy clothing/shoes/ect. for extremely tall teens.

I'm thinking boy's 6'4"+ and shoe size > 14 and for girls 5"10+ and shoe size > 11

Men's
Nordstrom - extended shoe sizes online and in store
Nike - Tall size shirts and pants (ST to 4XLT). Extended shoe sizes online, limited selection of 15+ in store. (why don't they carry XXL socks?)
Adidas - Tall size shirts and pants. Shoes up to a 20 online (very limited)
Kohls - Tall sizes in store and online
Old Navy
Gap
