the new rules start NEXT season. The rules for THIS season apply to THIS season. Playoffs is THIS season.

Geez you want ur kid to play on a team that got to the playoffs? Thats bold and short sighted. To answer your question NO. Seen it where a player went from GA to ECNL to play and was added to the roster. That team ended up missing the playoffs so it didn’t matter.

Ive seen where a players parents unsuccessfully tried to force a departing player onto a team a year up. The team revolted and that player wasn’t allowed to play and hasn’t sniffed the postseason since. The parents were pissed enough to tell the a TD/coaching that if they bought the player that didn’t earn the playtime up to play, they would simply forfeit/not bring their DCs.

If your kid and their team is good enough they will get exposure when its time. Dont be THAT parent trying to force it. Word of caution.
